Founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, electrical engineer, music lover and heir to a lineage of French luthiers, Cabasse has shaped a singular vision of sound for more than seven decades.
From the very beginning, the Maison pursued one idea with unwavering precision: reproducing sound in its purest form.
A pioneer of coaxial loudspeaker technology, aligning all drivers on the same axis to preserve tonal coherence and spatial realism, Georges Cabasse helped establish French high-fidelity as a global reference in acoustic refinement.
Over the decades, Cabasse created some of the most emblematic loudspeakers in the history of high-fidelity: Atlantis, La Sphère, Galion, Sampan. Sculptural presences shaped as much by engineering as by emotion.
Beyond the domestic sphere, the Maison also conceived landmark acoustic installations for iconic cultural spaces including Le Grand Rex and La Géode in Paris, where architecture, silence and resonance converge.

The Maison designs and engineers its own drivers, shaping membranes, motors and coaxial architectures in pursuit of tonal coherence and spatial realism. Amplification systems, electronic boards and proprietary DSP technologies are conceived to preserve the integrity of the musical signal with absolute control. Mechanical design is approached as acoustic architecture, where materials, proportions and internal structures contribute directly to the purity of resonance. At the same time, millions of lines of proprietary code orchestrate the intelligence behind each system, ensuring fluidity, longevity and seamless interaction within contemporary living spaces. Every Cabasse creation is conceived in Brest by acoustic engineers and designers united by the same ambition: allowing sound to disappear into emotion. The artisanal heart of the Cabasse house features specialized workshops dedicated to the production of speakers, drivers, and composite or carbon membranes—crafted using in-house designed machines and robots, as well as precision control equipment and anechoic chambers that guarantee an exceptionally high standard of quality for each unit.
These spaces, equipped with precision instruments, enable our teams to bring our creations to life.
This is also where our functional prototypes are born, along with custom tooling essential for refining our high-fidelity speakers.
All our top-tier speakers are entirely designed and hand-assembled in our workshops by our specialists, who ensure a unique artisanal expertise.

At our site in Brittany, 1,200 m² of production workshops include a unique 500 m³ anechoic chamber, engineered with no solid connection to the surrounding building. This design provides exceptional sound isolation, essential for acoustic measurements of absolute precision. Additionally, there is a separate anechoic chamber dedicated to production.

To push the limits of performance even further, a dedicated underground bunker has been specially outfitted. Shielded from external disturbances and prying eyes, it hosts our power and reliability tests, ensuring that every Cabasse product withstands the test of time and the most demanding use cases.

In addition to the production workshop and the various dedicated areas for operations such as membrane fabrication, gluing, and magnetization, there is a specialized repair workshop entirely dedicated to Cabasse speakers and drivers. This service ensures the maintenance and repair of our products, guaranteeing the exceptional longevity of our systems, with some vintage models covered by a lifetime warranty.
Thanks to a rare expertise, each part can be custom replaced, restored, or repaired while respecting the original standards.
The Cabasse House restores several pairs of vintage high-fidelity speakers daily, supported by a large stock of spare parts sometimes dating back several decades, and has the capability to reproduce every component in-house thanks to its precision machinery and tooling.
